Feature-lenght films, documentaries, and TV series featuring Private Military Companies and Private Security Companies are relatively a new arrival. As such, for the time being there are not so many of them widely available and/or for free distribution. Blood Diamond. Set against the backdrop of the chaos and civil war that enveloped 1990s Sierra Leone, "Blood Diamond" is the story of Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou), a Mende fisherman. Both men are African, but their histories and their circumstances are as different as any can be—until their fates become joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives:

Why We Fight. This is the documentary that won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Featuring John McCain, Gore Vidal, William Kristol, Chalmers Johnson, Richard Perle and others, the film launches a inquiry perspective into the workings of the military industrial complex.

Force Provision. Produced and directed by Allie Tyler, Force Provision is a straight forward documentary about the commercial provision of defense and security services as this relates to policy, military institutions, public consent of foreign engagements and necessary responsible oversight.

State of Play. Russell Crowe leads an all-star cast, including Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams & Helen Mirren in the blistering thriller about deception, manipulation, corruption, and security contractors:

The Unit. TV series from CBS following a fictional covert Special Forces team operating outside the usual military chain of command, risking their lives on undercover missions at home and abroad. A subplot in the series emerged (and died) dealing with the activities of Blackthorn, a fictional private military company poaching personnel from The Unit. click here
